about the note cards

I developed the idea for my collection of cancer-awareness note cards in 2005, during my first 6 weeks of chemotherapy. At that point I knew that cancer would not defeat me, but would give my life additional purpose.

Each Hāz for Hope note card is handmade and combines my many years of graphic- and fashion-design experience with my love of unique, textured papers and/or special printing techniques. Even though making the cards is therapy for me, my ultimate hope in designing and hand making them myself is that each and every note card will touch the heart of someone dealing with cancer. In every Hāz for Hope note card, a prayer is placed that those touched by cancer will be blessed in some way by their disease, as I feel I have been by mine.

In my effort to give back, 10% of the proceeds from the sale of all Hāz for Hope cards is donated to the Indianapolis affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
